She makes the correct points in the least funny way possible. Every time I see her art style I brace myself, read it with a totally straight face, think to myself “yep,” open the comments expecting to see a bunch of Pizzacake haters and anti-haters, get just that, and close the page until the next time. The consistency of that interaction over the last few years is one of the most bizarre phenomena of the internet I’ve encountered.

  • Partner A: “Go on, give the nice cashier what you’re buying.”

    Partner B: “H-here.”

    Cashier: “That’ll be $17.”

Partner A: “Now hand over the money I gave you.”

    Partner B: “H-here.”

Cashier: “Here’s your change and the collar.”

Partner B: Grabs them while smiling and starts to turn away to leave.

Partner A: “What do we say to the cashier?”

    Partner B: “Th-thank you.”

Partner A: “Good job! Let’s go home and try it on.”

Cashier: Just one more hour to 3 o’clock. Maybe I can sneak another smoke break in after that.

  • Is there an actual source for this? I tried searching news for “Uber will know you’re drunk” and found nothing, I reverse look-upped the meme and saw it nowhere, there is no indication of a source in the meme.

I want to know how they will know that you’re drunk, and I want to know why they want to cut off what I assume is a decent chunk of their clientele, but I’m not seeing anything.

I’m not a civil engineer, but based on my experience with traffic lights pushing the button doesn’t actually alter the order of operations for the lights, it just makes it so the next time there is a natural gap in traffic that would allow for safe crossing, the crosswalk light turns on. So it doesn’t affect drivers at all. I’m still not a fan of jaywalking unless the road is REALLY clear.

That said, I’m always Jay walking when I go somewhere :P
