I mean, don’t leave half your meal lying around on the plate, for sure. Dispose of your food in the manner most appropriate if you’re not going to eat it, and then allow the dishwasher to deal with whatever is stuck to the plate.
Pods leave the first cycle without any detergent. Having powder allows you to provide detergent for both cycles - as intended - your dishwasher will work even better.
Properly used dishwashers do not require pre-rinsing. It’s a waste to do so.
I believe TC made a video calling out the inadequacy of liquid dishwasher detergent, and having made the switch to powder I have to say that I agree. I used to get discoloration building up on coffee mugs with the liquid stuff, this went away right away when switching to powder.
ACs are just heat pumps where they forgot to install the reversing valve.
Heat pumps running in heating mode are basically ACs that are trying to cool down the outside. The fundamental technology just moves heat from one place to another, leaving one place warmer and one place colder.
This is also how fridges and freezers work - they have heat pumps that pump out the heat from inside their box and as such make the room they are in warmer.
It’s not out of the question to have ‘memory leaks’ - apps accumulating more memory by keeping around references to more and more objects - but memory leaks in the stricter sense of not deallocating objects that you no longer have references to is less likely. Regardless, the OOM killer will come for your app, no matter how good you’ve been about managing your memory, as long as someone else wants to have the memory and you’re the one who has been active the least recently.
It’s definitely not out of the question that a reboot helps, but an app-level memory leak is highly unlikely to be the culprit.
Apps leaking memory in Android are just going to get automatically get killed by the OOM killer, I don’t think a restart is going to address that particular concern.
There’s not going to be one single number for this - you’re most likely looking at views/production costs or effect on retention/production costs.
32% coal vs 39% renewables, with natural gas making up the majority of the remainder - https://www.eia.gov/state/?sid=CO#tabs-4
South Park fell off for me right when Trump got elected. The world just got too absurd for South Park to properly make fun of at that point, I suspect.
What a terrible take.
First off, unironically yes on account of higher efficiency in electric engines over combustion engines.
Second, what grids still run on 100% coal? And why would they keep doing that long-term, given that coal is just shit on its own merits?
Oí! You got a license for that sword?
I was previously convinced that taking cold showers was my only saving grace during hot summers, but this year I got the advice to try to take a warm shower a short while before bed, and I’m surprised to say that it has helped. This is for high 20s though so YMMV for sure.
Other things that help:
At that point, you’re basically just listening to podcasts. Leaning into it might be a good choice, since there’s no visual element that gets lost when listening to podcasts, as compared to YouTube videos.
It very well could, yes! It would certainly shorten the amount of time spent within the Danish mainland.
I’d maybe call ‘good’ a slight overstatement. They exist, but currently leave much to desire.
You have to have wet bulb temperatures approaching body temperature for it to actually become lethal - you can still lose heat through perspiration if the humidity is not high enough.
Ambient temperatures of 36-37 C don’t immediately mean game over.
