I’m not interested in political stuff at all. Still, I get a lot of shit from the old colonies south of Canada for some reason.
I do like science but then half the recommendations are about space aliens and religion.

Somehow my teachers were obsessed with silence. Stealing, bullying, breaking shit, nobody cares. Whispering to your neighbor though: the worst crime you could commit.
Our 15-minute break was mostly trying to avoid the bullies.

On YouTube there’s the algorithm. Watch one video and yeah half the recommendations are right wing trash and pseudosience but there may be something good somewhere.
On Peertube, discovering new things is practically impossible. Also, half the videos I tried didn’t even play.
In open for suggestions though
1.Finish some simple, dumb task
2.Stare out of the window
3.Go home
Then some adult asks “how was school?”
“Fine, I guess”… What do they think happens at school?

Video Download Helper is pretty good too if you’re too lazy to copy-paste to terminal:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/video-downloadhelper/
If you’re downloading from YouTube often, just install yt-dlp and set a shortcut to do it. I got Meta+C to execute ytdlp with the url.

It’s not comparable.
You can get a job and convince someone else to help you out. I’ve done that for someone (who works remotely). What you’re taking about if identity theft which may be a little different then piracy.
If I “pirate” a show or a movie or whatever, it’s not tied to my identity. Neither is anything of value lost (I wouldn’t have paid to see it).
Also, I don’t know how you’d get a job without a valid ID and bank account.

When you look like you’re not from there, you’ll be approached by dealers all the time. Just walk around in a touristy area and they’ll buzz around you, “hey, psst, hash, weed, cocaine?” Just don’t cross the border with it

Pronouns getting weird, especially when and is added, like “for him and I” or “her and I’s house”.
Also excetera for etcetera and mischievious for mischievous
Rather a bit sweaty in summer than physical pain in winter

I’m using MyInsta (https://myinsta.app/) which claims to disable analytics and ads

My parent’s generation did that a lot more. For them, it was just a standard meaningless expression for when you don’t know what to say, obviously to start small talk, whereas younger people take it more literally and get annoyed for asking such a dumb question

My first smartphone, Orange SPV, was also released in 2002, and, by the looks of it, was a bit more technically advanced https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orange_SPV

There’s just one country whose political problems are spammed all over. They should find their own communities.

The /u:/ ones are nearly all French words and to put gouda there is just wrong
I know when my upstairs neighbor has passed through the building because I can follow her scent all the way, it even lingers outside sometimes.
I’d do the same honestly
I can only speak from experience but basically what I wrote. Teacher gives kids something to do, we all wait in silence for slowest kid to finish, zone out a bit during the teacher’s monologues and go home at some point. I don’t know what relevance friends have since there’s barely any moment you’re allowed to interact during school hours
