Well, she’s 12 and likes to play roblox and do funny voice edits on her videos. As I am sure you can guess, it’s stuff like one-click voice modulation which is the big selling point of CapCut for her. So I am guessing ease of use and the ability to at least create and save audio editing presets and do texts and so on is paramount.
I agree that this is not really a need that foss tries to fill which is ok. We tried kdenlive but it seems a little advanced for her needs and wants. I tried Vidcutter and it seems a little too simple (feature-wise, the usability was nice).
We just took a look at ShotCut which seems alright, but I think I am more into it than she is. I hope I can convince her to take a look at it. Thanks!
I’ve been on the beta for this, and it’s a fantastic feature. I bought a Steam Deck and added it to my family with a separate account and it’s been so incredibly convenient for us as a family.
I add stuff to FAQs when I am fucking tired of answering the same old dumb questions
Mods remove this, it’s clearly a pisspost
Man’s helping you not look stupid and you’re calling him a troll, amigo.
Happens to be true in all modern western countries though, only the US seems unable to force companies to pay a livable minimum wage.
You should tell her this, basically, and also you guys can call each other. She’s probably also going to miss you heaps, although she’ll also have a new world to explore.
You should revisit Space Haven, it is improving every month.
Never heard of Immich, but it looks absolutely amazing.
We use it as a console every week, both me and the kids.
You have a point, thx
Thank you, I was able to connect by editing the configuration as suggested in the other comment 🙂
Wonderful, thank you :)
I did see that mentioned in the comments in the file, but I was under the impression that I was using DNS via my simply.com domain DNS-record. Thanks!
That’s how I use my steam deck - a dell dock & some controllers
Sure, there’s some correlation - but when 99% of words in a noun class can’t have a biological gender it seems weird to name it after the 1%.
Well, yes. But not for Indo-European languages which is… mostly a historical artifact. But we’re still sticking to teaching traditional grammar using traditional terminology, which is super frustrating. Imagine if you kept teaching maths in a manner which you knew was fundamentally wrong, but it was just too much work to reeducate all maths teachers.
The thing about grammatical gender is that it doesn’t really have much to do with sex or gender identity. In German, for instance, ‘mädchen’ (girl) is neuter. Gender in French is 98% assigned based on the pronunciation of the three final syllables. In Danish, living things tend to be ‘common gender’ and inanimate objects tend to be ‘neuter’.
It’d be more accurate to call it ‘noun classes’ than gender.
Requiescat in pace in peace, you heathen
I don’t think it’s clear that they are not trying to minimize civilian casualties, it’s hard to imagine a more targeted attack than the pager attack.
I don’t know what the numbers are like for the Lebanon part of the war, obviously, but in almost all modern conflicts we see that between 25 and 80% of casualties are civilians. I imagine we’re on the high end here as hezbollah like to fight and hide amongst civilians and use them as shields.
I struggle to see how you can combat such an organization without heavy civilian casualties, no matter how you go about it. I’m not saying the Israelis are not making mistakes or even being disproportionate at times, but I just can’t see how you’re going to fight hezbollah without heavy collateral damage.
