My pixel 8 pro has been working fine with usb-c headphones getting regular use. I usually leave them plugged into the phone throughout the day and then charge at night. Phone’s maybe 8 months old now, but I did the same with my pixel 6 for years without a problem. I am pretty careful when I unplug things from the slot though.

I did pretty much the same a little over ten years ago. Lost two close online friends but they never contacted me on text, email, or discord (which I gave them because it was new and cool at the time). I had held onto Facebook specifically for those two friends for a few years longer than I would have liked, and couldn’t stomach it anymore.

It happens. I fell in love with the main story of Persona 5 (though I fell off of it as soon as the Royal content picked up) but I’ve also tried out P3, SMT5, and Metaphor, and I got bored quickly with all of them.

I loved my Pixel 6. It stopped working earlier this year and I bought a refurbished 8 pro, which is also great, but I would have used my 6 forever.

I stopped playing Final Fantasy XV after watching Noctis’s beautiful cool fiancée die, only for all of his bros to tell him to man up and get over it, and then those same guys got mad at me when one of the bros was blind and couldn’t keep up when I ran somewhere in the next area. Fuck the misogyny of that whole situation. Haven’t played it again in the ten years since that happened.

Exactly this. I’ve been running forums since I was a teen in the mid-00s and I’ve still got one. It’s much smaller than it used to be, but some of us have known each other for twenty years. It’s harder to find us, but occasionally someone still wanders in.

I grew up on a farm and it’s amazing that I always knew we were poor, but we always had our basic needs met. It probably contribited to me having an easy on-ramp to socialism once I moved to a city and saw the horrors of real poverty.

Relevant to the topic, we had a combine and I got to operate it to help my dad with harvesting. Crazy, very cool vehicle. It was always like magic to me.

I had a youtube channel for a few years in the early 2010s and had the same experience. I got extremely uncomfortable once people started giving me free game keys and started requesting ad reads. I ghosted my channel and eventually deleted it, but now I wish I had made a final video or something talking about the experience and why I didn’t want to participate anymore.
