An audio jack is anything but tiny in a mobile phone form factor… Theres just no way to keep it without sacrificing something else.

If waste and efficiency are real concerns you should be against the old headphone jacks. They waste a lot of space and are an entrypoint for water and dust, for redundant functionality that already exists in usbc or lightning

I used to share this opinion but grew out of it tbh.

From an engineering perspective headphone jacks are: a) a huge waste of space for no real functionality as the function is integrated in USB-C or lightning.

b) an unnecessary weak point in water- and dustproofing.

If you need an audio jack, specialised models still have it or a dedicated android audio player (fiio make great ones) will serve you better.

I say this as an audiophile btw.

Honestly, the value for money in the gaming industry is the best its ever been outside of AAA and consoles.

Market spending correlates this, more money than ever is being spent but its focussed on indies, AAA sales have been dropping and big studios are losing money, deservedly.

This is frankly a lazy assessment. AI itself is no more anathema than any other convenience (or plagiarism) tool, it is purely how dissociatively one engages with it that matters.

I’ve used AI as a personal tutor in my chemistry degree and it is an absolute boon for those who cannot afford private tutoring. But one has to actually engage with the content of course, instead of having it do your assignments for you.

Hey man, I understand it doesnt often feel this way, but yes bureaucracy IS an implementation of democracy.
