Yeah. My instant thought was “get the loan from Microsoft”
Thousands!? Shit. That’s like all of them!
Half the problem is how many are “critical workers” and can’t outright strike. In my field, for instance, I’m union, but it wouldn’t be very good to strike in a traditional sense. We’re fire/ems, so the only people to really suffer from a strike would be the people who are calling 911 for help. So here we are, working 54 hours a week and making $42,000 a year.
I’d like to have high hopes for this, but damn it, I just can’t make myself think it could be any good at all.
Per the article: it takes place thousands of years in the past, with an avatar that has not been seen before.
I swear, people only read headlines and then it’s off to make comments.
So like !g <squirrels holding nuts> and I’ll get googled?
I feel like not many people under the age of 30 will get this. I think I may have even forgotten to force my own kids to watch it.
That’s what’s extra stupid. Damned thing isn’t even US owned. It’s a private company from Belgium.
While all the wafer dies made come from this mine, it can be synthesized. This won’t end high end production, even if it were destroyed completely.
You mean pound?
Damned wasps. I over-filled a propane tank last week because of wasps.
What’s mbin?
Meh. I mean the / is “no stupid questions”. 98% of everything posted in the sub could be found elsewhere by using search engines. I’ve never even heard the term “sealioning” before now, but if you just tell people to “Google it” this instance may as well not exist.
If you use the apk for lemmy called “thunder” you can set up your default to be whatever option you want.
I’m paranoid about losing my wallet and other daily carry stuff, so I haven’t. Been carrying stuff for like 30 years. Never lost a wallet, cell phone, pocket knife, or keys. Couple close calls.
I started replaying the original ffVii on my steam deck, now. Using several 7th Heaven mods that really make the game look and sound like it didn’t come from the PS1 Era. It’s a slow start, but so far it’s still shaping up to be the great game I remember playing 25+ years ago.
Plus, unlike the remake, it’s all one game instead of 3+ take your money releases across two or three console generations.
I’m pretty sure there’s a lot more gaming pcs now days, too. Consoles have been loosing out on the gaming market share since the 90’s. PC overtook consoles in both popularity and profits a bit over a decade ago.
Disheartening enough though, is that as far as profits are concerned, mobile games make $ more than pc and console combined.
Legal in the US. I think this guy is in Brazil.
Liquid cooling has become more needed because processors and gpu’s have become outrageous power hogs. Desktops needing 1,000 watt psu’s is just outrageous.
