So are you saying the shapes Texellate?

I’ll see myself out…

I saw a photo of a shampoo bottle from the US once. Apparently the shampoo was tactical. I have been trying to figure out what that means.

TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge
Team Fortress 2, when it came out
Mass Effect 2

nah, it’s supposed to be classy, professional and playful – originally developed to make Facebook seem like less of an evil and soulless corporation

Yeah, it’s nice. Someone made it back when Facebook launched its “Alegria” style back in 2017. According to Wikipedia, this was the original Corporate Memphis style, and the company that developed “Alegria” were quite honest that their assignment was to do “image softening”. This struck me as a very appropriate response.

Same with conservatives in Europe – and it’s also the same with government efficiency. They get “issue ownership” because they talk about it a lot, but I’ve never heard of conservative politicians who’ve actually made government more efficient.

What’s the case for The Prince being sarcastic? I realize it’s quite different from his Discourses on Livy, but I’ve read it as being more of a “extreme measures for an extreme situation” kind of deal. He does write in the Discourses that a sufficiently corrupted society could require a monarch using extreme and unusual means.

That’s silly, even RealClearPolitics has him at a significantly lower approval rating than back when he was elected. Same with favorability. They don’t have him quite as low as Nate Silver, but still significantly lower than around the election.

You are right, in fact it’s still possible to study datafag, I stand corrected: https://uit.no/utdanning/program/795103/informatikk_datafag_-_bachelor

With regards to “sluttfag”, I couldn’t find anything real, but Google’s AI summary says “Et sluttfag er et fag på videregående skole som blir avsluttet med en standpunktkarakter det gjeldende skoleåret” - so it’s the final year of a subject that gives you a grade on your high-school diploma… according to a language model :l

I have never heard anyone call computer science “datafag”, it’s usually called “informatikk” (like “informatics” which you can also say in English), and “slutt” just means end or stop, I have never heard anyone use it to refer to graduating.

“Fag” does mean “subject” or “field of study”, though, so computer science is a “fag”, and it might be considered a “realfag” along with the natural sciences, I don’t know.

Edit: I got corrected below, “datafag” is real

yep, or “field of study”, so if you study in Norway, students who study the same might arrange a “fagfest” together, and a skilled worker is often known as a “fagarbeider”

Well, FDR was a man of snappy quotes, executive overreach, and of throwing a lot of things at the wall and seeing what sticks.

I don’t think they see much strategic purpose in pissing Trump off :p

ah, yeah that makes sense

Yep. The science isn’t always accurate, but the values are good.

Back when it ran, environmentalism and anti-authoritarianism weren’t as clearly tied to the left as it is today.

It sounds a lot like a concentration camp. Death camps were specifically for squeezing starving humans for a last bit of labor and then killing and disposing of them as cheaply as possible - we’re not there yet.

Same experience with my 3070, and expect it to be the situation for a good while still.

Considering where I’m posting this, maybe it’s sacrilege, but I just don’t think it makes business sense to develop a triple A game that can’t run on the consoles - and console cycles have gotten really long.

I should think these kinds of tactics could be used by any authoritarian regime, regardless of whether they’re posing as right- or left-wing
