That’s exactly why they are getting so much support from Russia and why Russia and China are fucking with us over social media/the internet. They can’t win a traditional war and America largely stands against their goals so the best way to take us down is by having us do it to ourselves. I think Republicans are just too power hungry to serve their greed and they’re too naive/heartless to consider what they could actually do to the country by taking advantage of the disruption other countries are causing.
I actually really believe they’re going to succeed in “taking us down” and have already done severe damage to our “social fabric.” Hell we can claim without exaggerating that there are large portions of our population that are living in completely opposite versions of reality via the media they consume. Propaganda exists to serve a specific purpose.

Hell I still do them by hand… Almost 40 years old and I live in a garage without a clothes dryer or a dishwasher and my fridge/freezer is essentially “babies first refrigerator” size. I can’t even fit a regular tub of ice cream in my freezer lol
Same here… I work in a factory in NY and it’s usually like 2-5° hotter in the factory than outside… With this humidity it’s absolutely atrocious working conditions.
Thanks to the SCOTUS we now have to rely on them to clarify laws like the law in NY that says “all factories must maintain reasonable temperature and humidity.”
…that’s it. There’s no definition to “reasonable” in that law. It’s exactly the kind of situation they dumped Chevron Deference for. Now they get to protect corporations even more…

Would be a more useful headline. It doesn’t matter what consumers want. All that matters to large corporations is what the consumer will bear.
Yeah… As it stands right now our first priority needs to be eliminating the ultra wealthys influence otherwise that amendment will be changed to “all non-wealthy debtors, convicted criminals, and the unemployed can be used as slaves.”
A lot of real life evil people actually like animals at least when it suits them in my experience.
It’s really frustrating as someone who just doesn’t care for dogs. I’m seen as some heartless monster, but there are literal monsters are out there with dogs too… Idk about globally, but the US has had some “recent” (10-15 years ago) explosion of obsession with dogs.

I never had the desire to play that kind of character until recently and my god does Bethesda fail horribly at allowing that kind of character… Even in Skyrim where there’s guilds for theft and assassination, I never felt truly evil or bad, just kind of a jerk with the occasional dumb response.

We have a similar problem where I live… It became a rich person vacation spot like 15 years ago and now they’re ruining the town… They buy up the shops, but gut them from being geared towards those that live here to just throw away vacation trinket shops and stupidly overpriced restaurants that all close from fall to spring. They buy all the available housing so they can spend two fucking weeks a year in the house…
I can absolutely empathize with these people. At least here, these rich fucking tourists are literal locusts. No one but themselves benefit: they made a closed system that their money circulates in and all the working people have to leave which ALSO benefits the wealthy as their homes become available to buy… Of course too expensive for us to afford, but what’s $1+million for a 2 week vacation spot for an obscenely wealthy person…
Yeah… My home county. Trump land, rich & very poor people, but aggressive assholes none the less absolutely everywhere. Home of the $500k burned down shack masquerading as a “starter home.”
