I used to write a ton of code while caffeinated.

Now I write less, better code since quitting caffeine.

There was a brief period where I was incapable of doing anything at all between the state of high caffeination and no caffeination.

Makes me think of how I recently read Ishmael and it literally changed my life. I understand now. I am ape. Do as ape do.

There’s like, a lot more than that, but that was my biggest takeaway (which would probably make the author very sad given what the book was actually about)

None of my GPUs have more than one HDMI port, so I set up nccl and tossed in a spare GPU.

Sometimes the solution is to “upgrade” with old hardware that’s been obsoleted for a few years.

I’m not educated enough to have an opinion that goes beyond what I like to type. I find C style to be the nicest.

As far as I can tell that’s not possible on FreeBSD. The vm.swappiness parameter doesn’t exist there.

I often use FreeBSD on a system with 2 gigs of ram. I WISH swap was useful. OOM killer is so overzealous the thing just kills whatever before even touching swap.

Gershwin’s wiki and git repo list the ghostbsd variant as outdated, but in my experience it is also the only one that works out of the box.

I’d like to see this with Gershwin DE on top. They feel made for each other.

Like two or three weeks for most tasks. I still check the manual sometimes, it’s built in :)

I’m relearning arduino!

I’ve got a couple 382p’s laying around and wanna build an RTOS for them, eventually drive a CYD to interface with them.

End goal: Affordable offline-first PDA.

I’m a vim stan. I love my vim. I still end up installing nano on all my machines. It’s honestly not even for me anymore, it’s for anyone else who happens to use it. Vim is great but it’s got a learning curve.

Often times I’ll just use vi, since it’s always there.
