Wait, why is his name Robobrain when his brain is the only non-robotic part? Either Robobody or Biobrain/Wetbrain would be more adequate names

AI will start hiding penises in its output, everybody loves it, you ushered in a new era of peace and prosperity worldwide, all peoples united by their love for hidden AI genitalia. Well done!

A lot of people around me tend to parrot that a lot of the safety measures are not for explosives detection, but for drug trafficking prevention. I’ve always disagreed because nobody ever presented any evidence to it, and the measures in place do come from explosive detection (unless they have metal drugs now idk). But I’ve wondered whether there is some truth to it.
I would campaign for fifteen dollars to be written as 15$. The other way around makes no sense. Dollars is the unit, and you say “fifteen dollars” and not “dollars fifteen”. That we landed on the backwards convention is a travesty.
Sure, 15$ wouldn’t get me far, but it’s a start!

Sounds interesting, I’ve never used copilot and I’m not a programmer by profession (I just write a few scripts here and there for data analysis or experiment control), but I’m interested in checking this out. Has anyone here tried it? I’m worried it’ll get in my way more often than it helps.
Is it just me or is Heathcliff being more important in his strips recently? Maybe as a response to your efforts?
Your comment made me finally go there and check. Wow, the comments here and there are night and day. The most common comment on similar threads is “Norway, Spain and Ireland are showing the world that terrorism works”.
Unpopular opinion warning: after playing and adoring Outer Wilds, I played Subnautica and, while it’s a fine game, I’m having trouble getting engrossed in it. I’ve never been much of a fan of survival games, though (apart from Minecraft if it counts?) and Subnautica may be my favorite in that category… But it’s still firmly in that category
I was not expecting giveaways on Lemmy!
Honestly I haven’t seen much of this game (having a PhD to finish and all, I haven’t allowed myself to hahaha), but I am hopeful that it will allow me to try to solve conflicts with diplomatic and out of the box thinking instead of just combat, and having it feel like I haven’t cheated myself out of content: it bothers me that I can’t avoid conflict in most games without feeling like I’m missing out, and Star Trek is the perfect IP to make it work.
Thank you for the giveaway! Best of luck!
Edit: Is this valid for all regions?
Not true at all, there were plenty of trains built on the Earth. The one on the moon will be far from the first.
Yes. That implies you are on the same level as Stephen King.
You should publish as Steven Emperor ;)
When thinking of space games with limited graphics, the first thing that comes to mind is ASCII Sector.
But the Star Control 2: The Ur-Quan Masters (or whatever it’s name is now) gets my strongest recommendation. And Starsector looks inspired by it, so I’ll have a look!
Wait, Reddit is pro-Israel now? I haven’t been there in a while (to be honest, since before this topic escalated) but that surprises me
I care about graphics in games (although mostly due to art direction rather than just “realism”). And yet I still agree with you and think the other guy is bonkers. 2D games can be awesome, 3D games can be awesome.
Man, same on the point about YouTube shorts ruining my attention span. The only thing keeping me from an addiction, I feel, is a feeling of guilt when watching shorts instead of long form content.
Whenever I do watch long form content it ends up being more fulfilling and entertaining, too, so I have no idea why our brains are so biased towards short form content.
Trust me. We’re never gonna let you down.

Like, my main issue with ads is all the tracking they do. If they add non-targeted ads to the video file I downloaded, whatever, I’ll just fast forward through that part of the video.
