I still enjoyed the first game but wasn’t one of the lead devs on KCD a capital G Gamer? I remember some… interesting tweets from him. Was he booted or did he change his ways?
Edit: Derp, should have just read the article before commenting. Fascism eats its own yet again.
Unrelated to the opsec, why is a SpongeBob Movie premiering on Netflix? Isn’t Nickelodeon Paramount?
As someone very burnt out on Marvel, I’m cautiously looking forward to this. Daredevil was the best thing to come out of the MCU.
No. Anon died doing what he loved.
That’s why I dislike these kinds of memes that say, “Oh, I shouldn’t be working all day; I should be living a life of leisure and free to create”.They feel like the conservative strawman of the “lazy leftist who just envies the rich”.
Living as the meme describes inherently requires the exploitation of labor. Unless a society becomes technologically advanced enough to achieve fully automated post-scarcity, meeting a person’s needs still requires a certain amount of human labor. The issue under capitalism is that some people do live as the meme describes, and they do so by exploiting the labor of others through capital. As a result, the rest of us struggle even more.

Oh I agree completely. There is a fascist aspect inherent to Superheroes. Cap is just one lf the less egregious ones.
Captain America is a weird one to include. Not denying it’s propaganda, everything is, but throwing Cap in with copaganda is such a surface level take. He’s propaganda for American exceptionalism sure, but also embodies it in an old school New Deal way. The character has been consistently anti-facist over the years.
Imo Iron Man is the much more harmful propaganda. You can pretty much draw a direct line between the characters rise in popularity thanks to the MCU and the rise of Elon Musk.
One thing I really like about Lemmys small size is how posts can remain relevant for some time. It’s very laid back for a social media. You can have discussions that last for days on Lemmy, and there’s no need to constantly update or FOMO if you don’t check in for awhile.
Reddit is far too busy. There’s just a constant sea of noise. It’s practically pure luck if a post gets noticed, and if you don’t comment early then you comment is basically lost. For the most part content on reddit loses all relivence within 12-24 hours, and having any real place within the community requires constant engagement.
Dread it. Run from it. Witcher 4 with playable CIri still arrives.
Paramount did Halo but yeah. I think a key difference here is that there is actually passion and care for the source material on the production team rather then a bunch of Nepo hires trying to do their own thing with an IP they have been forced to work with and don’t really care for.
Idk, I know a pianist and his house is just filled with boxes and boxes of sheets music!
In this case like this I feel like anon just has shitty friends and needed to find a group he fits in better with. If you’re awkward and weird, you’ve just got to find the awkward and weird kids to be friends with (anime club, theater, ect) there’s even awkward and weird girls there!
Looks don’t even matter that much in dating (unless you’ve got porn brainrot). So long as you’re not deformed or super obese, someone will be attracted to you, and chances are you’ll find them attractive too. Just don’t be a creep and have interest outside of video games and modern dating is pretty easy.
And Cyberpunk
One RPG that does a really great job of circumventing this is Morrowind. Early in the story there are several natural breaks where the PC is encouraged to do side quests and immurse themselves in the world. Once the main quest gets going it starts to take precedence, but the world ending threat builds slowly at first.
Disappointed that Marina Sirtis wouldn’t interview, though I kind of get why. Her role as a woman on Trek is certainly one of the more… complicated ones.
There’s no way Musk “works” 100 hours a week. How do you think he’s found all this time to spend with his new bestie Donald? By all accounts the guy spends a significant amount of his time playing video games and on Twitter. His “work” is lunch meetings and zoom calls with the board where he just spitballs a bunch of nonsense.
Bingo. American industry, British intelligence, and Russian Blood won the war in Europe. It was always a combined effort, and anyone claiming one power could have won alone is talking nonsense.
With American supplies, the USSR might have been able to defeat Germany without the Allies sending ground forces into Europe. However, there’s no way the Red Army could have defeated both Germany and Japan alone. The United States was the major force in the Pacific theater.
Exactly this. I liked witcher 3 but I can never bring myself to replay it because of the time commitment. I replayed Witcher 2 a dozen times and its a tight 30 hours.
