Linux Gaming@lemmy.world•Harling, a fantasy MMORPG with a native Linux launcher, is looking for its first testersEnglish
9·4 days agoThis just reminded me, what ever happened to Earth 2? I couldn’t believe people were getting sucked into this one in particular
EDIT: Did a quick search and seems like not much has changed. Still nothing that resembles an actual game, and still people can’t get their money back out.

4·4 days agoOh cool!!
I’m more than happy to be completely proven wrong by CIG! So it’s good to hear there’s positive feedback! Thanks

11·4 days agoFor background I’ve been a backer of Star Citizen since 2018, and am currently Concierge level.
Since CIG did the gameplay Livestream (the one where Ollie made his debut with the company), I’m not holding my breath with SQ42. I know, 2 different games, but if that was the best case scenario showcasing Star Citizen, then how does SQ42 look?
Here’s hoping it turns out to be an amazing game and a true spiritual successor to the Wing Commander series though!
I’ve had this exact response from “normie” people I’ve known over the years multiple times.
My guess is that it stems from the old saying “you get what you pay for”, and as such a free service without a megacorp behind it MUST be dodgy and untrustworthy.
What annoys me the most is that when you bring up the topic of privacy it’s always the exact same response, “yeah well I have nothing to hide so it’s fine”

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Is the price for the Switch 2 (Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition) expensive in where you live?
4·1 month ago$799 Australian at JB Hi-Fi: https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/nintendo-switch-2-the-legend-of-zelda-40th-anniversary-edition-console
Fuuuuuuuuuuuck that!
Have you tried Sacred 2 Remastered?
Seems like the devs have been updating quite heavily to fix a lot of the issues and missing features.
I also came across this! They are working on a pixel art title - Sacred: Last Pixel of Ancaria
https://store.steampowered.com/app/4092130/Sacred_Last_Pixel_of_Ancaria/
Thanks for posting this recommendation! I’ve never heard of this title (or series) before, and I’ve been trying to find something new to play lately.
And thankfully it is sitting at gold rating on ProtonDB!
Drink Cuke! It’s heaven in a can
This was my pathway through as well, FB, Twitter, Insta, and Snap. Stopped using those accounts and shifted over to Reddit for my ‘social’ fix. Just recently went through and manually deleted all my posts and comments and finally my account from Reddit, now just on Lemmy and kind of on Mastodon.

7·2 months agohttps://mullvad.net/en/help/connecting-to-mullvad-vpn-from-restrictive-locations
This is what I can find on their website. Last updated April 22, 2026.
Seems like Russia is mostly blocked and China is fully blocked.
This guide lists different settings and methods to connect to Mullvad VPN from networks and countries where connecting to a VPN is difficult. This includes countries such as China, Egypt, Iran, Pakistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates and Uzbekistan.
But Russia, China, and Iran are listed here. So maybe works? I’m confused

1·2 months agoInteresting about the snipers comment. Does the game limit the amount of snipers per team? Or is it more like BF1 for example where everyone can be a sniper if they want?

5·2 months agoIn between ARMA and Battlefield has been HLL niche for a long time, such a shame Vietnam kind of sucks. But also hence why I’m interested in Wardogs.
If you haven’t played the original HLL, personally I think that is definitely worth a shot for an “older” combat experience
