It’s been a hell of a ride for sure. Infinity was my choice, and they’re moving to a subscription model. I wish the dev the best of luck.
I don’t mind paying a sub to support, but spez really soured me on Reddit as a whole.

No idea. It all depends on how much costs they incur through API calls.
Apparently it would have cost the Apollo dev something like 20 million USD per year at the scale Apollo was operating.
Used Sync for many years and always enjoyed it, end of an era.
The dev behind sync is making a new sync for Lemmy. So that’s something to look forward to!
Sync worked flawlessly for me for over a decade. Would be more than happyy to pay for it again!
