Investigators said they had identified a suspect in the case by Monday evening, and he had been linked to a total of three cases which were apparently “politically motivated”.
That man later contacted officers, told them he wanted to “confess a crime involving an ATV driver within the last 24 hours” and asked to be picked up, police said in a statement. When police arrived at the scene, they found a 22-year-old man dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
I don’t think he murdered anyone, actually. Just ran them over, hospitalizing the 80 year old. In fact we don’t even know the other related incidents involved running anyone over, I guess, though that was my assumption. The article is light on the details.
I read the article and, respectfully, I’ll disagree. Three incidents, a proffered confession and a suicide. Sometimes the circumstantial evidence adds up. Too bad for the victims, hey?
Listen: I’m not a sentimental type, but where sick people are struggling I’m all for making ALL of the help available. Where sick people lash out outside of treatment, criminally, I say the system failed and actions have consequences. You can’t be subjective here, or you lose the thread in the decision tree.
Gentle with the down votes, friends, I already know I’m the asshole here.
Yours is a valid opinion and you’re not being an asshole here, even if I don’t agree with you. If I thought you were I’d downvote, but I don’t think so.
Yikes
Stochastic terrorism bites Trump’s own hand again (but they are so tiny, it didn’t take much). It’s an uncontrollable force.
That said, it’s a tragic story for the young man and his victims.
Tragic for the victims at least.
I draw the line before sympathy for premeditated murder. No apologies.

Anyway the kid didn’t have to kill himself.

Hey. Take this, it’s rough out there: ❤️
A respectful disagreement? On MY internet? My god, is that legal?
You. Yes, you. Here’s an ancient gesture of protection against malicious supernatural forces. Whether or not you believe in it, keep rocking: 🤘
Not yet, but the guy was 80 and in critical condition. Survival seems unlikely. But as the article seems to say this was intentional, it’ll be murder.
