I have met Musk! This was in 2018 at a startup conference, pre-wtf Elon days.
He was actually really inspiring about his dream of space and humanity. But he was also weirdly edgelord. Then we all realize he was a walking talking meme and going around doing that backpack kid floss dance everywhere while people were trying to talk serious with him.
If you told me the guy was 25-30, i would believe you. But the dude is in his 50s, has a bunch of kids who don’t speak to him.

My incel 30yo cousin loves Musk as of last year.
He used to tweet at Musk to say things like “good job” and swore if he could get Musk to see him, he’d wow him with a billion dollars.
He’s the kind of guy who would watch a 4 hour YouTube video of a book summary, rather than read the book. And Ive been slowly deprogramming him because he’s in his 30s and miserable, and realizing Joe Rogan lied to him.

I really enjoyed the show of putting the car outside the Earth. That’s how I got to know of him. When there is no space exploration budget, trying to make space entertaining appeared like a good idea to me.

Jews can be white. Being jewish is a religion. His comment (or the one he supported) is targeted at that religious group. No statement of hatred towards a skin color, specifically. This is potentially antisemitic, perhaps bigotry, but not racist.

Can’t be bothered responding to each post individually so I’ll put this here.
First off. Mastadon isn’t that great of an experience. There’s a reason it’s not even at half the amount of users it started with. The devs don’t listen to feedback and at the current time attempting to get the average person on there is a struggle.
Second off. There are people who use twitter for professional purposes. There’s also a lot of companies that refuse to drop the platform which means people collaborating or coordinating with them end up using it for that purpose too. A lot of people and groups with large followings still find moving off the platform too risky. I’m not among those groups but you’re being a bit ignorant if you think they don’t exist or that they don’t matter.
You can choose not to use Twitter without living like a hermit though. In general, this comic sucks as a response.
