The popular recycled stuff back then like F7U12 and advice animals were neither clever, funny, nor original. I think you got the nostalgia goggles on.

Your reliance on templates is weak. You cannot make a meme without a macro image, impact font, and bottom text. Modern memes are humour abstracted to its core essence.

Yeah no memes from 2012 walked so the memes of today could run. Ye Olden times of image macros, top text bottom text, and rage comics were all derivative trash. We all enjoyed them at the time but let’s not pretend they were more “creative”, they were literally the opposite.

First time I hearing any one read this from it. Clearly it has resonated across online communities. I’ve never heard of a woman complain about it.

I know it this gets used to minimize abuse and discrimination but here it is just a joke…

What is the joke supposed to be, if not women being overbearing and jealous? I genuinely don’t know how else you could read it.

So i am pretty sure this is like any other meme where picture matched the content so it was used. I don’t even think this is playing on any gender stereo types. I guess it is good to have these discussions but I think you are reading too much into it.

It is a meme and I am sure there that meme content does not discriminate based on gender or otherwise (excluding fringe, who try to make their brain dead ideas spread via this popular medium) as there are plenty of memes putting “men” into “negative light” to make a joke.

For example, would you bring up this issue for the Scumbag Steve meme?
