Great for urban areas with emission zones. And they’ll undoubtedly go further as the high capacity charging network expands. 720 km is pretty good already. Could be interesting for companies running regular, predictable routes. E.g. daily resupply of cooled goods, supermarket suppliers. This won’t replace whole fleets, but it will be interesting for parts of fleets and create the demand to build out the necessary infrastructure.

Most Russians live west of the Urals, so disrupting all that airspace is enough to disrupt personal life and production facilities. You are technically correct, they did transport more than one person. They brought their own convoy of armored cars and whatever else they need to feel safe. From the plane’s cargo measurements on Wikipedia I would estimate that it can carry ~10 cars if you want to be able to just drive in and out of it. Even though they probably would have had some spare space to move additional things, it doesn’t make sense to me to be super suspicious of the size of the plane.

The Russian government puts enough effort into the elections to indicate that they matter to them.

I suspect they mean that you can run your own instance, but in practice most users fall for the ‘trap’ of using someone else’s instance where they have no control over what happens to their accounts and what they post.
I don’t think it’s that big of a deal and thay you’re absolutely right that you don’t have to support a developer or that you can hop to another instance, giving users more equity and agency.
All those things are things Ukraine has tried or is trying. Unmanner vehicles are mainly used for frontline logistics, but some with machine guns have held positions that infantry couldn’t. Drones appear to be useful in pretty much any situation, but infantry is still needed for taking/keeping control of terrain. Tanks are well suites for assaults, even with drones buzzing arround, but again with the support of infantry and all those other things you mentioned. It seems that war had changed quite a bit, but everything still revolves around infantry.
Vivaldi is extremely bloated, and the syncing doesn’t sync a lot of settings and often stops working altogether. But despite that, it’s still the best browser I know.
I really wish they had options to turn off all the bloat (e.g. email, vpn, password manager, notes, translate, etc.). I’m sure many people, including myself, use a subset of those non-browser features, but there should be options to turn off the features we don’t use (instead of just hiding the clutter).

People absolutely used the Concorde to arrive four hours sooner. It’s short flight time made it possible for bussiness execs to have meetings on the other side of the ocean and be back home on the same day back when video calls weren’t an option yet.
Wouldn’t the ocean drain oxygen produced by trees if phytoplankton didn’t exist? It seems to me that both move oxygen into the same system, earth.
