Did you know mosses cooled the planet down, increased oxygen levels and created the first topsoil and thereby paved the way for other terrestrial life?

What? You’re basically answering your own question: we ‘invented dogs’ when we domesticated wolves. Before that date there were no dogs in existence.
It was not one exact date ofcourse, it is a gradual proces. Still (a quick look at Wikipedia tells me) dogs have only been around for tens of thousands of years (17.500 - 40.000 years is the range I can find). Which is still not that long. People had definitely tried out mushrooms before that.
I’m so glad I get to live in a time where hummingbirds exist.
They have only been around for 22 million years, so chances are good to be alive as a human in a time where hummingbirds exist. But they are special nonetheless! Nice shot.

41·18 days agoNothing, please I’m interested to see part 3 of people needing to get outside more. You should be able to get plenty of material from your immediate surroundings.

8·18 days agoNever mind man, just found it kind of ironic to see a post complaining about people asking silly questions and needing to get outside more. As if your use of time is any better. You’re just hoping someone will find the position of the hand funny or something.

161·18 days agoWhy is the post even absurd? There is an interesting behavioural apsect to this. This does come across as you just finding it ridiculous and are making fun of an innocent question.

Some people really need to get out more, why even ask this?
If you hold everyone 100% responsible for their actions, including supporting or condoning governments that mess up this world, contributing to global warming, consumption under capitalism, choices they did not foresee the outcome off, mistakes, etc., then there are no decent people in this world at all.
I think it’s pretty obvious for us here outside the US too. It is like bad body odour, it is harder to notice when you’re inside it and used to it.
Not that we are not used to our stench for that matter.
So you’re hating them back? That’ll teach them!
And even they are mostly decent people, just misguided by propaganda/misinformation.
Yes even US Americans are probably just decent people generally. I know it’s hard to imagine with some of these countries but we shouldn’t forget people aren’t their governments.
Drive and fly everywhere (especially short distances), eat meat whenever you can, vote conservative, leave your lights on at all times, use AI for everything.
Never forget you can be the change you want to see in the world. All your actions matter in the end, even if the seem small they will add up!
No they are neither fungi, plant or animal. They are single celled organisms so more closely related to amoeba or some algae.
You definitely have a moisture problem in your home if this is in your wallpaper

This is the fucking issue with people joking about how communism getting shit is rich.
