Whenever I think about making a healthy choice instead of picking the easy option I think about the people I will survive thanks to a healthy lifestyle. I mean I also do it because I try to be good to myself, but sometimes a little spite goes a long way.

Fascinating theory. I’ll have to go down that rabbit hole tomorrow.
There’s also a theory (maybe the same as you mentioned) that says man settled down because they had to stay in one place for the whole brewing process.

12·11 months agoWhy would that be a relevant comparison? Why do you care about Waymo?
If it’s safer than a human, release them to the public. If it’s more dangerous than a human ban them from public roads until they have improved.
Goes for all autonomous car providers.
Body language in general.
Dogs wag their tails in order to spread their happy pheromones by waving furiously. They unconsciously want everyone to know they are having a good time. When they are scared, they tuck their tail between their legs in order not to spread their stress pheromones by moving the air around their glands.

xkcd@lemmy.world•Can you drive west to lengthen the sunset?English
91·1 year agoHey, it’s great you watched it and updated your comment.
It takes a lot to come up with a really creative and well researched video and manage to make your point in under three minutes. And it takes a lot more to surprise people and suggest a solution that no one had in mind before watching it.
This should teach people to do their research before commenting.

xkcd@lemmy.world•Can you drive west to lengthen the sunset?English
92·1 year agoIt’s a whole different answer. He’s driving North and then South, and faster than the sun is moving.
It’s a 2:46 minute video. It’s okay to decide not to watch it. But instead of watching it, you took the time to make a comment that is completely missing the point. Would you mind explaining why?

141·1 year agoYeah, Like the last generation was successful in advocating climate activism, the German RAF successfully sparked a revolution with their kidnapping and bombings, like the IRA successfully drove out the English from Northern Ireland or like Ghandi failed to free Britain and the East Germans tore down the wall with dynamite.
Have you even watched the video?

That is horrible. For the people that loved him, for the people that witnessed it and especially for the kids that had to watch it.
Put that swing of the cross, the pin point precision of the hit, that is also incredibly funny.
