Americans with one Japanese parent. Raised in the US but spoke Japanese at home.

I played it a bit during a “free weekend” a few years back. It felt lifeless and dull. Then I discovered how long it was going to take to get to the next planet/asteroid/whatever the objective was in my ship for the sake of “realism” and I was out.

Without the cultural baggage, yeah, they are interesting looking from the side and front quarter angles. But the back side undeniably looks like a trash can or dumpster. I was behind one yesterday with a pink/green hueshift wrap. When I was in traffic behind it, it just looked like I had a green dumpster in front of me lol.

I wish I didn’t have to see one almost every time I drive somewhere. They are such a standout eyesore that it feels like I see them constantly.
Increasing value for shareholders.

Nick Offerman’s character in Civil War. No thanks.
Nick Offerman himself as president? I could work with that.

For real. I for one would gladly take President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Camacho over what we have now.
Middle left for me. Selling our comment history to train AI was the last straw for me to delete my account.

Dont most of these “steam machine killers” lack the CEC support an ability to wake from controller?
The convenience of that and the tight integration with steam is what makes the SM interesting.
They are just always ready to receive a dropped french fry.

Yep. I think its actually pretty ideal for a pure gaming machine that lives under the TV. If I were going to build a machine for that I would go with SteamOS.
I’ve been stung by a bee exactly twice in my life. Both unfortunate accidents where the bee and I collided.
I have long since lost count of how many times I have been stung by wasps just for being near them.
Bees don’t make nests above my door, or under my patio awning. Or generally everywhere outside I need to be. Fuck them wasps.
I started learning C++ in high school compsci class decades ago. I still havent mastered it.
Probably because I never did any programming again after that one semester. But who knows?

A six pack of beer in glass bottles. For the midnight premiere of Jackass 2 in my college town. Theater was full. Everyone was drinking before and during the movie. It was quite the party.

I loved mine. I used it until it died. Took a bit to get used to it. But when it died on me it took even longer to get used to a regular controller again.
On two separate occasions I shot a rattlesnake that was about to strike someone I was dove hunting with.
First time I was about 15 hunting with my dad and I noticed he was about to step on a silent rattlesnake. I yelled snake run! And shot it as it was striking and he had just got out of range.
15 years later, hunting with a friend and the same thing happened, though he started running in a circle around it for some reason until I had to yell again to run AWAY from it!

I’ve been an atheist since I was a kid and first learned the word that explained my skepticism of all the nonsense I grew up with.
I became open about it when I got to college and had that phase where I let stuff like people saying “bless you” or “god gave you strength” get under my skin and make me mad. All these years later. I’ve learned to pick my battles and not let peoples well meaning sayings bug me.
That’s not how I remember it. I remember plenty of games being buggy as hell, or outright not working. When a patch did come out to fix it, you had to find and download it from the developer’s website and manually install it. Then keep track of that patch file in case you wanted to reinstall and play again later.
