Personally I’m not against voting (although I’m against the “support the lesser evil” rhetoric). I just hate that libs constantly downplay political violence (whether it be direct violence against politicians or their supporters or destruction of property) as an available tool that must never be used unless absolutely necessary. That if you do use it, you must distance yourself from leftists, anti-capitalists, Democrats, and basically make it seem like you only did it cause you were bored. Not doing so would hurt us too much.

If you’re wanting proper leftists in government, ONLY praising ones you like isn’t enough. You also have to destroy the ones in politics that are working against the cause. Get them the fuck out and make their mere existence toxic, which includes promoting other parties running against them even if you don’t personally believe they will win. Anyone working against leftist ideas, like the couple Dems OP talks about that are against trans rights, can’t be allowed to have any representation. Being against human rights needs to be treated the same across the board, not rewarded cause they said nice things about other topics.

I’m going to talk from personal experience cause that’s how humans work. People can take what they want from that, but I seem to only see ya’ll have a problem with that when it’s negative about Dems. When someone from NYC comes on here and talks about how much they love Mamdani, you don’t tell them to keep it to their community and leave it off the Fediverse cause it supports what you want. Unlike you guys, I don’t tell people to sit down and shut up when they say something against what I want to see happen accusing everyone of psy ops and being Russian trolls.

Be honest, you and I both know that 99% of people only vote and do nothing else if they even do that. Maybe they’ll attend a protest if one is happening nearby (which must always remain peaceful because we can’t use all the tools on the table like political violence), but in my area people despise protests and have threatened violence against even teens doing one. Trying to get people to do literally anything, even something as simple as some community volunteer work, is like pulling teeth. Politics is something they get bombarded with every 2 years then forget about. If Dems will never hold power in my area anyway and nobody wants to organize, then I might as well vote for who I actually want running things while spending the rest of my time at the range.

Again, Dems and any other party besides Conservatives hold 0 power here and pretty much never have in the 30+ years I’ve lived here. It’s why whenever someone runs on any party besides Republican here, they emphasize they were lifelong Republicans that don’t agree with where the party is going so they left it. Never works cause Conservatives want full Conservative, not Conservative-lite.

I live in Missouri (the St. Charles area) and I don’t support either of these bastards. Missouri is filled with morons though so we’re better off getting air striked than ever seeing any positive change. Put an actual socialist in charge of this state instead of Dems that literally put in their campaign ads that they’re conservatives who think the party went too far so they’re running as Democrats.

In my state Conservatives are trying to overthrow our choice to keep abortion rights that we voted for in 2024 by telling us keeping them will also be allowing for kids to transition surgically (I wish I was making it up, but there’s at least ads trying to tell people to not fall for it and that the amendment is just about abortion rights).

The same ones Dems hold considering is one of the deepest red states in the Midwest.

I vote for the least evil party, which is never either of these assholes. I advocate for doing that and taking violent actions at every given opportunity, especially if these fuckeits are brave enough to show their faces in public.
