Dunno if it’s exactly a filter but I still go to a lot of shows and it’s not really fun to date someone who’s not interested in going to the same shows as me.

Season 3 was when I really got into the show. The problem wasn’t that the first two seasons were slow, they were just really dour. Especially the first season.

Living at altitude, this is actually true. Very low atmospheric buffering. Temperature swings of 40 degrees within a few hours.

King Arthur has great videos on shaping. Here’s a short one on how to form a sandwich loaf. You can see that there are several internal folds which create structure, and the folding and sealing creates tension on the outer layer which traps gas inside the loaf as it rises and later cooks. The crumb looks a little dense to me. I’m guessing due to shaping issues. Did you do this freeform or did you use a loaf pan? Loaf pan is generally preferable for beginners because the pan provides a lot of support. With freeform loaves if it’s not shaped correctly it will often collapse. Generally when you’re shaping you want two things: internal structure, and a tightly stretched skin over the top. I think a lot of beginner recipes don’t teach this very well, since I often see first loaves that look like they were assembled into a shape but not really using proper techniques.

Definitely a possibility, especially since reddit replaced a lot of mods after the protests. Reddit does distinguish between “removed” and “removed by reddit” these days but I don’t think everyone knows the difference.

They seem inconsistent about it, because one can easily find posts about lemmy on reddit. But people have periodically reported this. It is possible that lemmy posts are triggering their generic spam filters.

Seems like you’re ranking stuff low that’s built for different use cases. Like one of those is explicitly for making toast over a campfire, which is really handy if you’re camping.

Discord’s filters are kind of infamously bad about what they detect as “adult content.” I, for one, will not be supplying an ID to anyone. They’ve already given me several compelling reasons not to to give them money, but it seems that this one finally pushed me over the edge.

I do not agree with this line of thinking at all. If someone gets drunk and drives a car the responsibility for that is not on the bartender for their bad decision, it’s on the driver. The bartender has no idea if, when the person left the bar, they’re heading for their car or an Uber or a bus. Furthermore, the purpose of bars is for people to get drunk. These sorts of laws are absolutely based in “ok we’re going to allow you to sell alcohol but also drinking is BAD and WRONG so we are going to punish you if you, a person who is hired to sell drinks, allows a person to get drunk.” Fuck that puritanical bullshit.

I have no ideas if the law are the same in every state, but this is incorrect where i am. These laws specifically create liability for a person who serves a drink to a person who is obviously intoxicated. In a bar. It’s obviously puritan-minded bullshit, but the laws do exist, establishments with liquor licenses are required to train employees on them, and people have gotten sued or even prosecuted for them.

Bike theft is rampant in most cities. To the point where a lot of people into cycling will buy a second, cheap bike.
