I’ll vote for whatever Democrat is on the ticket in November. Straight down the ballot. Where there’s a choice among them, I vote for the most progressive. Because I’m an old (cishet) woman, but that just means I remember the bad old days.

Look, I don’t like Biden. I voted Green in the last 2 elections, but I had the privilege of doing that then. Not this time. None of us do. It’s ride or die, and that’s not just a slogan this time around.

It’s ride or die, and I don’t wanna die.

I’m a gay Jew in Florida, and I don’t have the privilege of voting my conscience and hoping for the best. I have to vote like my freedom and my life depend on it— as does those of tens of millions more I don’t even know. Because they do.

lol, what, you gonna give me the 10-30 grand and a job that I need to leave?

What the fuck, dude, do you think moving to a new state is free? Seriously? You privileged jerk.

THINK BEFORE YOU BURDEN OTHERS WITH YOUR IGNORANCE

Sorry. I fled my conservative state as a gay queer teen and sucked a lot of dick staying with various boyfriends, but I was at a different stage of my life then. I’m just worried about you.

Like much of the US, if you momentarily disregard the politics of a state, Florida is a naturally beautiful place with weather that many people prefer.

If we could make the politics not suck, social programs better, worker life better, etc., every state would be great to live in and while enjoying their individual natural wonders.

I guess it’s the same as saying that we can fight mass migration by making the failed states wprth living in. But also, what can we do? Regime-change Florida?

The alternative is fascism so I’ll obviously vote against that, but I gotta say, I’m uneasy voting for someone who clearly isn’t running the country. With the news coming out that pretty much every interaction with Biden has been scripted, including his cabinet meetings (which he hasn’t held since October of last year), it’s pretty obvious Biden is not the one calling the shots. White house staffers, other than a small group of handlers, are restricted from interacting with him, something unheard of in previous administrations.

So who are we voting for? His handlers? It’s pretty clear he’s a geriatric puppet that isn’t making real decisions, so who’s holding the strings? It’s not his cabinet; again, they haven’t had an official meeting since October. Doesn’t that concern anyone? We’re supposed to be voting for the leader of our country, but the actual person/people running it are not the ones on the ballot, we don’t even know who they are.

Even if they replace him, it feels like we’re not really getting a choice. It will be the DNC picking the candidate, it’s too late for another primary. Political talking heads like to say “well this is who the American people voted for so this is who they want!” No it is fucking not. If you put a gun to my head and force me to eat shit, you can’t turn around and say “boy, this guy sure loves eating shit! He chose to eat it, so that must mean it’s what he wants!”

I don’t really know what the solution is. Our leaders are now picked instead of voted, that’s not a democracy.

The plaintiffs claim the changes violate their free speech protections and want them blocked.

As a trans person of color, the GOP violates my right to live and I want them blocked
