Better use something that will keep the apps up to date. Some recommend Obtanium, I don’t like it, it’s not user friendly/easy but I don’t know any better alternatives.
If you go to download things on OpenAPK, there’s literally a button to download it via Obtanium. It’ll create a formatted JSON file to import into Obtanium to download the app.

I like Droid-ify. It’s better than F-Droid and includes more repos per default.

Yeah, that’s the thing with unobtanium, it’s clunky as hell, but it’s really the only option for things that aren’t in an fdroid repo directly.
