    This is one of those Princess Di or JFK moments. I was never the biggest Pantera fan, but I certainly knew Dimebag’s worth and skill. And I remember exactly what I was doing when I heard about it. RIP to a legend.

      Pantera was a band I greatly enjoyed, however I was not a huge fan of them due to their usage of confederate imagery. I never got into Damage Plan either, but this still shook me and I remember where I was when it happened.

      Two nights later I saw GWAR in DC and was really surprised we did not get searched. I grew up in NM going to shows here and even in the 80s and 90s you were all but strip searched at ticketing. Shows on the east coast were barely having you take out your keys.

        Appreciate your take, friend. Thanks for adding to the conversation. It was definitely the confederate and racist imagery for me too.

          I always like to think that given time the Abbott brothers would have moved away from that. But then seeing Phil doing racist shit I tend to think they flocked together for a reason.
